HEROES Joint Action to Hold Its Major Three-Days Workshop in Malta
From 27–29 October 2025, the HEROES Joint Action will gather partners, experts, and policymakers from across Europe for a three-days workshop in Valletta, Malta.
Hosted at the historic Manoel Theatre, the event will mark one of the project’s key milestones — bringing together all Work Packages for an immersive exchange of experiences, results, and forward-looking strategies to strengthen the sustainability and resilience of Europe’s health workforce.
Over the three days, the agenda will include:
- Opening sessions with DG SANTE and HaDEA representatives, providing an overview of the HEROES activities and the policy relevance of its outcomes.
- Interactive policy dialogue workshops, focusing on evidence-informed policy briefs and country experiences.
- Sustainability and mutual learning sessions, led by WHO and the project’s task leaders, designed to consolidate lessons learned and shape future action.
- Project-level reflections highlighting the achievements and next steps of the Joint Action.
Beyond the working sessions, participants will also enjoy guided cultural visits to Malta’s Old Capital Mdina and Valletta’s St John’s Co-Cathedral — opportunities to strengthen collaboration in an inspiring setting.
This hybrid event (in-person and online) will serve as a platform to translate shared insights into sustainable policy actions, ensuring that HEROES continues to build capacity for effective health workforce planning across Europe.
